PPEC Medical Day Care
PPEC Medical Day Care
Children with complex medical needs receive specialized health care by onsite nursing staff in an inclusive classroom environment. Classroom based teachers create themed based lesson plans and activities to promote each child’s social/emotional, physical, cognitive and speech development in children of all abilities. Our medical day care program and early childcare program are the only fully integrated services in the area. In addition, we provide onsite speech, physical, occupational therapies, a child life specialist, consultation with physicians, and a dietary program that ensures children are receiving their own highly specialized and individualized plan of care.
We recognize that finding care for your child with complex medical needs can be very stressful and expensive. Our Medical daycare program is a licensed PPEC program, fully funded by KY Medicaid. There are NO COSTS to families! If your child qualifies based on their medical need, all services are covered by the state, regardless of your household income. Our highly experienced staff will assist you in navigating the Medicaid admission process.
Children enrolled in Early Care and Education will also benefit from the following:
- Therapeutic intervention – Services include occupational, physical, and speech therapy, early intervention and other behavior supports designed to enrich the lives of children. Through this unique mix of supplemental programs, children are given the opportunity to be better prepared for school and adulthood.
- Nursing care – Registered Nurses provide medical care based on physician orders. They monitor their health, detect and address medical issues, collaborate with other health care professionalism and respond to medical emergencies, all while maintaining close communication with family and physician.
- Nutrition – Dietary staff provide nutritious food to meet the regulatory and special dietary needs of children enrolled, as ordered by physicians.
- Behavioral support – Specialists work with children and adults to improve social interactions and quality of life by teaching new, functional behaviors to replace existing challenging behaviors.
Care is available from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at multiple locations in Northern Kentucky. You may drop off and pick-up anytime within these hours.
