Construction Career Training
Construction is one of the most in-demand careers in Ohio. Easterseals Redwood offers multiple pathways for you to train for a rewarding career in the construction industry and earn great pay and benefits. Our programs provide a strong foundation for a successful future with on-the-job experience, certifications, soft skills development, and professional connections.
You can apply for construction career training through Easterseals Redwood. Our programs include:
Apprenticeships
We’re big fans of apprenticeships. Participating in an apprenticeship is like going to college, except you get paid to learn and graduate without debt from student loans. You’re considered an “apprentice” if you are paid for on-the-job learning and job-related classroom learning. We work with and refer you to apprenticeships such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.
Building Value
At Building Value, we salvage reusable building materials and make them for sale to the public, but most importantly, we offer construction training for opportunities for hundreds of people in our community. It’s a triple win: we protect the environment, invest in the local workforce, and give architectural gems a second life!
On-the-job training positions at Building Value act as a bridge to move people with into construction and retail careers. Associates gain resume-building experience and on-the-job training in a unique work culture that provides the support needed to succeed.
Easterseals Redwood proudly partners with Messer, Cincinnati Children’s, UC Health, and many others to build a pipeline of job opportunities for candidates.

FastTrAC
FastTrAC is a training and credentials program for low-income adults who have already earned their high school diploma or equivalent. This intensive, eight-week program includes the same credential and certification opportunities as our YouthBuild program, along with apprenticeship and job networking opportunities.
YouthBuild
We’re thrilled to be one of 280 YouthBuild programs in 15 countries. It serves young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who are not currently enrolled in school and do not have a high school diploma or financial resources. The program can have life-changing results: 75% of enrollees earn their high school diploma or GED while also learning the skills for high demand careers like construction.
